The Agricultural and Environmental Services Department for
Lac La Biche County facilitates and promotes Agricultural and Environmental
programs and policies for the municipality. The department works
co-operatively with other municipal departments carrying out the business
plan of council and the agricultural philosophy of the Agricultural Service
Board. In addition, the department conducts a legislative function under
Municipal bylaws, Provincial and Federal acts. In particular the following
Provincial acts, Weed Control, Soil Conservation, Agricultural Pests,
Livestock Diseases and the Forest and Prairie Protection Act.
