Lac La Biche County is committed to providing both facilities and programming to meet community members' recreational needs. The services the County provides aim to encourage healthy, active and fulfilling lifestyles for our residents and visitors.
The County manages three major recreational facilities: the Bold Center, Portage Pool and Plamondon Arena. Staff members at each facility offer programs to suit a variety of lifestyles and fitness levels. For outdoor sports, the County maintains basketball and tennis courts at the Bold Center, and baseball diamonds adjacent to McArthur Park in the hamlet of Lac La Biche.
The County believes in recreation programming that is convenient and accessible for all residents and visitors. The County is a supporter of KidSport and participates in Everybody Gets To Play, an initiative that provides fee assistance for children and youth in low-income situations. Application forms for both programs are available at the Bold Center and Portage Pool. For more details, please call (780) 623-3829.
